#DN19: Discourse, Knowledge and Practice in Society

dn19  unbenannt  discourse-net-bild

While some researchers have put emphasis on the knowledge dimension of discourse by asking how knowledge is produced, circulated and established in society, others have conceptualized discourse as a practice which performs social functions. DiscourseNet 19 (07 and 08 July 2017 – Bucharest, Romania) welcomes contributions which analyse discourses in their epistemic and pragmatic entanglements. The participants come from all branches of the social sciences and humanities and bring their various theoretical and methodological orientations into a productive exchange. The presentations will deal with empirical discursive objects in a theoretical way and engage in a critical reflection of the nexus of language, knowledge and practice in contemporary society.
